The so-called distinction between doctrine and practice is not here in 1 Corinthians 6-9. One of the most neglected parts of eschatology (6:2) is used to rebuke a behavior issue, that of the use of the Roman courts among them.
In one of the ironies of context, the intensely famous use of 1 Cor 6:9-11 to distinguish between church members is proven by its context to be a misuse. Paul is listing people outside the church, in order to show them that they (6:3) are not to consider outsiders as arbiters of righteousness.
